Emergent
curriculum is a spontaneous and child-centered approach
to learning where the child’s interests are the center from
which the web of curriculum is spun. This method of teaching, in
which the teacher lets the subjects emerge in the classroom, embraces
both the ability to “cover” a subject and the willingness
to “uncover” it as well. Emergent curriculum encourages
learning through discovery, opening children to a love of learning
that will last a lifetime.
